Crafty Tip To Help You Sell More on Ebay

Sell More On Ebay
Here's a crafty tip that will help you sell more on ebay. I have found, and I'm no doubt not the first, that people who BUY on ebay will happily pay 1p for a pair of, say, earrings even if the postage is £2.50 for just regular mail. However, they don't want to pay £2.50 for the same earrings with FREE postage!

The ebay mentality seems to be that they will buy an item at a rock bottom price even though the postage may bump it up to a normal end price for that item! So, a good way to get people into your ebay shop, or looking at your other items for sale, is to put your lower-cost items into auction, starting price 1p - then make sure your postage bumps up the final price so you don't lose out if your item only gets one bid.

Obviously don't go mad with the postage, people aren't stupid and the idea is not to rip people off. Basically, items with a 1p starting price attract lots of attention, and usually bids, which is what you want. Think of it like a carrot that you are dangling to attract people in to see your more expensive items in your shop.

You may lose a bit of money on these listings, but it's a cheap way to get attention for everything else you sell. Why waste money paying for listing pricey stuff in auctions when you can list them in your shop really cheaply!
